Configuration from A to Z11 Extra Information

The SmartgridOne Controller looks at all the phases of the electric installation, and will adjust the setpoints of the controlled devices to avoid exceeding the current limits on any phase.

Tip
Tip

Solving imbalances

If you experience a severe imbalance, it is strongly advised to physically distribute the loads on your installation over the phases as equally as possible. This is almost always the most energy-efficient and reliable method for solving imbalances.

Note
Note

Symmetrical phase control

Most devices do not allow controlling the current per phase they are connected to, but only symmetrically on all phases together (they draw the same current on all phases). The SmartgridOne Controller does control all the phases of a device together for this reason. It does not control individual phases.

Severe imbalances

In rare cases, if the imbalance is too severe, it may be impossible to compensate it. One of the known cases is when correcting too much active current on one phase would lead to too much active current in the opposite direction on another phase (if there is import power on one phase and export power on another phase).
